ACC-Wide Call for Support: Helping the Kiren Family Heal
We write this with a heavy heart but also deep gratitude to God for His protection over one of our own. A beloved member of our Sacred Heart Area School community is facing a difficult and uncertain road ahead.
Mrs. Kiren's (Hogate) husband was seriously injured in a recent accident. He sustained multiple traumatic injuries, including broken ribs, a broken right shoulder blade, road rash on his face, hands, and knees, and hearing loss in one ear. Most critically, he stopped breathing at the scene and required life-saving intervention, including intubation and a stay in the ICU. By the grace of God, he pulled through and was able to return home this weekend. However, the healing journey ahead will be long, painful, and filled with uncertainty.
Due to the severity of his injuries, including limited mobility, head trauma, and a shoulder injury - he is unable to work or drive. Though he has medical insurance and some paid leave, many of his upcoming expenses, including follow-up care and the cost of being airlifted, will not be covered. This family, like many, relies on two incomes to stay afloat, and a prolonged recovery may create significant financial strain.
As a community rooted in faith and love, we are called to support one another in times of need.
We invite you to join us in lifting up the Kiren family through your prayers ~ and if you are able, through a financial donation. Every gift, no matter the size, will go directly to supporting their immediate needs: medical bills, transportation, child care, and the day-to-day essentials while they walk this path toward healing.
